The MEAC Marketplace: Everything You Need to Know for Your First Visit

The MEAC Marketplace is a choice food pantry open to all neighbors within our service area. "Choice" means you're not handed a pre-packed box; you get to select the items that work for your household.

Hours

We're open on Tuesdays:

• 9:30–11:45 AM

• 12:30–3:00 PM

• On the last Tuesday of each month, we're open later from 1:00–6:00 PM

• On the homepage & marketplace page of the website, there is an updated monthly calendar as well

How Often You Can Shop

Neighbors are welcome to shop once a month. If you're facing an emergency situation and need help more frequently, please reach out; we're happy to work with you.

Parking

Parking is available in the lot off Roe St, at the back of the building.

Getting There

Enter through the front doors of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, then head into McCord Hall, the large room immediately to your left.

Checking In

A volunteer will greet you when you arrive. Sign in and take a seat until a volunteer is ready to check you in. You'll need to bring:

• A valid ID

• A recent piece of mail showing your current address

Once your information is confirmed, a volunteer will log you into the system and walk you through the weekly shopping list.

Shopping

Fill out your list based on your household's needs and hand it back to a volunteer. While your groceries are being gathered, feel free to relax; you'll be called out to the parking lot once everything's ready, and a volunteer will help load your car.

While You Wait

• We currently have Wawa breakfast sandwiches and other donated items available on a first-come, first-served basis on the tables in McCord Hall.

• A selection of free children's books is also available for young kids to take home.
